Caroline and Victor
Welcome You to Maple
Hill Farm!
Victor Putnam and Caroline Foote have brought their many talents
together to make Maple Hill Farm the diverse, unique farm that it
is. As co-owners, they are proud to combine and offer varied services
to meet the demands of local and world-wide customers.
Victor
grew up on farms in Summit and Cobleskill, New York. He started working
at a young age and began his own timber harvesting business
when he was only sixteen years old. He worked with his Father, Grandfather
and Uncle in the maple business from the time he could walk.
In 1982
he began Maple Hill Farms in Carlisle, New York. He designed and
built the building that is still in operation today. There is
a saw mill, sap house and production kitchen on the first floor,
and the second floor is now an apartment. Victor designed and built
most of the equipment found in the Sap House for the Maple operation
as well. In addition, Victor designs and builds custom carpentry
and construction jobs. A self starter and entrepreneur all the
way.
Caroline left her career as an English Teacher to become part of Maple Hill Farm in 2003. In addition to teaching, she worked in radio, construction and has been working with the public since she was thirteen years old in the service industry, as well as retail, sales, marketing and photography. In addition to running and operating the farm, she helps people with her Holistic Health Counseling business (see carolinefoote.com), and offers one on one sessions in Reiki and Theraputic Yoga as well. Caroline's passion for cooking has come to the farm now in the form of an Organic Bakery started in 2011. Passion for organic farming, dedication to family and love of living off the land are all keys to Caroline's success at Maple Hill Farm.

Caroline and Victor have expanded
their operation in the last four years to include their sons Rowan
and Brayden. Both boys already love helping around the farm and are
a delight to behold. As a result of their arrivals, the country store
is dedicated even more to education and the fact that there are now
six generations that have produced maple syrup at Maple Hill Farm.
